CONFESSION #01

So... Who Is She?

She is a dreamer, a poet, an overthinker, a big-feeling human, and the kind of person who notices the tiny magic hiding inside ordinary or unmanageable days.

She believes feelings are not inconveniences to be shoved into the basement of our minds. They are stories. They are signals. They are strange little treasures that deserve somewhere to land.

And sometimes, when life gets loud, the best thing you can do is make something beautiful from the noise.

Beauty. Brains. Big feelings. A little bit unhinged. ✦
CONFESSION #02

Why I Started Dreaminajar

THE STORY BEHIND THE JAR

Dreaminajar didn't begin as a business.

It began during a time in my life when I was simply trying to find my way back to myself.

I was leaving a toxic and abusive relationship, moving myself and my children across the country, and trying to figure out what my life was supposed to look like next. I was carrying so much at once that I didn't fully realize something else was happening underneath it all.

I wasn't only hurting from what was happening in my adult life. I was also still carrying the wounds of my childhood.

Old pain and new pain had somehow found each other, and I needed an outlet. But I didn't want to keep reaching for the familiar ways I had learned to numb myself whenever life became too heavy.

So I started looking somewhere different.

I became curious about spirituality, healing, manifestation, and especially the idea of spell jars. There was something about putting an intention into a physical little container that fascinated me. It felt almost poetic.

You could take something invisible, like a hope, a desire, a prayer, a feeling, and give it somewhere to live.

So I started making jars for myself.

They became little physical reminders of the things I was trying to heal, release, call in, and believe in. And slowly, I began noticing changes in myself.

One day, I showed one of my jars to a friend who was going through a difficult time in her relationship. She asked me to make her one, and I did.

Later, she told me that things between them were beginning to feel more harmonious.

Whether it was the ritual, the intention, the conversations it inspired, or simply having something tangible to hold onto, when things feel unreachable. Something about the experience stayed with me.

I was fascinated by the idea that something as simple as a little jar could become a container for something we couldn't physically hold or see.

That was the beginning of Dreams in a Jar.

I started selling my jars online and in shops, and for a while, that was the path I was following.

Eventually, though, I took a break and closed the business down.

I went back to school. I finished my education and became a caretaker for the elderly and disabled. I loved the meaning in that work, but somewhere along the way I realized there was still something missing.

Me.

More specifically, the part of me that wrote.

I been randomly writing since i was a child. Even had one of my poems I submitted to the college I attended, end up published in the Artist book that year. Without fully understanding how much it was calling for my full attention. With the elective classes I choose in college,I started writing more poetry. Another idea began to take shape.

I've always noticed how difficult it can be for people to say what they actually feel.

We can feel something so deeply, yet when it comes time to explain it, the words disappear. We stumble. We shut down. We say I'm fine when we are in complete shambles.

And I started wondering:

What if I could write the words for the things people don't know how to say?

What if poetry could become another kind of container?

That idea came naturally to me.

And eventually, everything that Dreaminajar is today began growing from there.

Because for most of my life, I had heard some version of the same thing:

You're too emotional.
You're too sensitive.
You feel everything too deeply.

For a long time, I thought those things were flaws I was supposed to fix.

But the older I became, the more I started questioning that idea.

We live in a world where so many people have learned to protect themselves by becoming emotionally distant. Where vulnerability can feel dangerous. Where relationships are sometimes abandoned because communication is too difficult, emotions are too complicated, or being truly seen feels too uncomfortable.

And I started paying attention.

I noticed how often the real problem wasn't a lack of love.

It was a lack of expression.

People didn't always know how to say what they needed.

They didn't know how to explain what hurt.

They didn't know how to ask for reassurance.

They didn't know how to tell someone, I love you, but I'm scared.

They didn't know how to say, This hurt me.

Or, I miss you.

Or, I don't know how to let you in.

Or even, This is what I need from you.

And sometimes, two people can love each other deeply and still become strangers simply because neither one knows how to safely put their feelings into words. Or give each other the safe space to express themsevles.

That's where Dreaminajar lives.

At the intersections of emotion, expression, healing, imagination, and words unrepressed.

The jars were the beginning.

The poetry became the next chapter.

And now Dreaminajar is my way of creating containers for the things we carry inside of us.

Sometimes that container is a poem.

Sometimes it's a story.

Sometimes it's a comic.

Sometimes it's a little piece of art that makes you feel understood and unrestrained.

And sometimes, it's simply a place where you can finally say the thing you've been trying to find words for.

I don't believe being emotional is something we need to outgrow. It is apart of our inner child, where emotions first stemmed from.

I don't believe being sensitive means we're weak. It means we are strong enough to feel it all.

And I don't believe feeling deeply is something that needs to be tamed. It is what this world needs more of.

Maybe our feelings were never the problem.

Maybe we just needed somewhere safe to put them.

That's why I created Dreaminajar.

Because feelings need a container.

A safe space.

A Place to be helf, without having to be hidden.

A place to call home.

FINAL CONFESSION

You Don't Have To Hide The Feeling.

Maybe that's the real reason the jar exists. Not to make emotions disappear, but to give them a shape. A memory. A little ceremony. Something you can hold up to the light and say, “Yes. I felt that.”

Seal the feels. Keep the magic. ✦
